St. Thomas Church, Malayattoor
It is been believed that St. Thomas the Apostle who came to India to preach gospel set up the Church in Malayattoor. Later It is designated by Vatican as one of the eight shrines in the world. In 52 AD he travelled through these area and his foot prints are still there. It is also believed that after prayers he touched a stone and blood came from the stone. The main festival is in the month of March and April. It was believed that there was the foot print of St. Thomas which is artificially made later.
Golden Cross
It is also believed that St. Thomas prayed by knelt on a rock and after the prayers miraculously the golden cross appeared. This is at the place called Kurishumudi.
The Miraculous Water Spring
It is been believed that while St. Thomas is having his prayers, when he felt thirsty he struck a rock and fresh water started flowing. Devotees believe that the water from here can cure many diseases.
Feast
The annual feast is celebrated after the first Sunday of Easter every year.
